Note from the Editor
Electronic
communication has become the modus
operandi for most of us and the EBBS Secretariat is now using this
as a rapid means of distributing important information. Nevertheless,
members have expressed a strong desire to maintain contact with the
Society in the form of the Newsletter. The Newsletter has served as a
historical record of the Society’s activities over the years and
will continue to do so, complemented now by our up-dated web site.
The
Newsletter is not only a source of information concerning the
activities of the Society; it should also serve as a Forum of
discussion and communication for the EBBS community. With the next
issue, the EBBS newsletter will have a new editor, Martine
Ammassari-Teule. The present issue is the tenth and last issue to be
edited by the Paris team. The new editor is looking forward to your
suggestions and contributions for future newsletters.
The
Newsletters produced in Paris over the past five years were the
results of a team effort of students and staff of my Laboratory,
especially Laurent Briois, Sophie Tronel and Yves Moricard.
