This is to inform you that:
1. DUBLIN AGM
The scientific
programme of the 37th Annual General meeting of EBBS (September 24-28
2005) is on the web at the following address: www.ebbs2005.com.
The deadline for
submiting abstracts for poster presentations is May 1st
2. CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
We will have important
elections this year since
1) The mandate of three
committee members (Verity Brown, Joe Huston and Leonardo Chelazzi)
will expire in September
2) Albert Gramsbergen will
transfer his office of treasurer to Melly Oitzl selected
last year thus leaving a seat vacant.
3) In addition, a
President-elect and the secretary should be nominated.
Candidatures must be
submitted by sending a letter of nomination and second accompanied
by a CV of the candidate to the Secretary (M. Ammassari-Teule EBBS Secretary,Fondazione
Santa Lucia, Via del Fosso di Fiorano 64-65, 00143-Rome, Italy).
Nominations sent via e-mail will not be considered. Deadline for nominations:
April 7, 2005. According to the rules, the autobiographical sketches of the
candidates will be published in the next newsletter (mid-April and officers
will be elected by postal ballot (to be returned by mid-August).
Results will be announced
during the EBBS Business Meeting in Dublin
