Dear member of EBBS
It is my pleasure to send you this first 2003 message to inform you that: 1) Online registration to the 35th EBBS Annual General Meeting (Barcelona, 2003, September 17-20) via the webpage of the meeting (http://www.uab.es/ebbs-2003) is now opened. The webpage also contains the detailed programme of the Meeting. We warmly recommend you to register as soon as possible to benefit from the early registration rate and because the number of delegates, including students, will be limited to 400. Deadline for poster submission: May 1st, 2003. 2) The mandate of two committee members (Anna Grabowska, Poland and Catherine Thinus-Blanc, France) will expire this year and two new officers have to be elected. All EBBS members are eligible. Candidatures must be submitted by sending a letter of nomination accompanied by a CV of the candidate to the Secretary (M. Ammassari-Teule EBBS Secretary, IRCCS Fondazione Santa Lucia, Via Ardeatina 306, 00179-Rome Italy). Nominations sent via e-mail will not be considered. Deadline for nominations: March 7th, 2003. According to the rules, the autobiographical sketches of the candidates will be published in the next newsletter (March) and officers will be elected by postal ballot (sent in May, to be returned by July 30). Results will be announced during the EBBS Business Meeting in Barcelona. 3) A call for presentation of symposia proposals has been launched by the programme committee of the 4th FENS Forum to be held in Lisbon (10-14 July, 2004) We strongly encourage you to submit proposals in order to ensure integrative neuroscience to be widely represented. Proposals must be submitted
through the Internet.
